Aubergine

The aubergine (eggplant) – wash the skin, cut it into slices about 1cm thick, make it as spicy as you like (salt, pepper) and fry it on the pan with oil but not olive oil. It soaks up oil like a sponge. So you can use kitchen paper to remove as much oil as possible. To be honest black-skinned aubergine taste better.

Pesto

1/2 cup or more extra virgin olive oil
4 small or more cloves of garlic
1 tbsp or more of pine nuts
1 or more basil in pot
as much as you like Parmesan (Parmigiano)
salt and pepper
as much as you need penne or rigatoni pasta

Blend it all except for pasta :)))

Rosamonte

Martushka is testing new yerba mate Rosamonte Premium from Argentina. At this moment she”s a big fan of Canarias yerba mate. She doesn”t like Taragui (I will not buy it any more).  So to sum up: Martushka is losing weight, she”s bursting casinomatrix.net with energy, bubbling with optimism and creativity, looks like allergy symptoms such as a runny or stuffy nose, itchy, watery eyes and sneezing  is gone, and Martushka reduce daily intake of steroids for asthma…

I”m very glad that I start to drink yerba mate.

Chocolate fudge cake

Cake

175g (6oz) self-raising flour
2½ tbsp cocoa powder
1tsp bicarbonate of soda or baking powder
150g (5oz) caster sugar
2 eggs
150ml (¼pt) corn oil
150ml (¼pt) milk
2tsp vanilla extract or almond extract
397g can Carnation Caramel, Martushka is using 3 tbsp or all can

Preheat the oven to 180°C, 350°F, Gas Mark 4.

The oil, milk, eggs, vanilla, caramel mix together until combined.  Combine the wet with the dry ingredients – flour, cocoa, bicarbonate of soda and sugar and mix well. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake in the centre of the oven for 35-45 minutes until springy to the touch.

Glaze

3 tbsp or more caramel and 1 or 2 tbsp cocoa powder  beat well until smooth and glossy. Place one half of the cake onto a plate, spread with a generous amount of the frosting and top with the other sandwich half.  Spread the remaining frosting over the top of the cake and down the sides to cover completely.
In accordance with the recipe of Celebrity Chef Phil Vickery, Martushka changed it a little bit.
